Már elérhető a Bada
Hivatalosan is bemutatta okostelefonokhoz szánt új operációs rendszerét a Samsung. Az első ezt használó mobilok 2010 első felében lesznek kaphatóak.
A Bada premierjére Londonban került sor, az első kompatibilis mobil készülékeket pedig a barcelonai Mobil Világkongresszuson mutatják majd be. Az első Badát futtató okostelefonok várhatóan 2010 első felében érkeznek a boltok polcaira. A Samsung ezzel párhuzamosan igyekszik a programfejlesztők körében is népszerűsíteni a szoftvert, hogy minél több kiegészítő alkalmazás készülhessen el hozzá. A Samsung szerint az új platform ereje a minden területen megvalósítható szinkronizációban, a közösségi hálózatok támogatásában, a 3D-s játékokban és a multitouch funkciókban rejlik. Ehhez társul még a teljesen új kezelőfelület is.
“Az IDC még nem sorolja a teljes értékű okostelefon operációs rendszerek közé a Badát. Szerintünk ebben az esetben sokkal inkább egy szoftverfejlesztési csomagról van szó, amelyhez vannak kiegészítő modulok. Senki sem tudja, hogy valóban az Apple üzleti modellje jelenti-e a jövőt, de az Apple Store nagy sikere arra kényszerítette az összes piaci szereplőt, hogy hasonló szolgáltatásokat indítsanak” – jelentette ki Francisco Jeronimo, az IDC munkatársa.
Az új platformok megjelenése miatt a szoftverfejlesztők nem igazán boldogok, ugyanis folyamatosan nőnek a fejlesztési költségeik. A dél-koreai óriáscég ezt a problémát úgy próbálja meg orvosolni, hogy komoly pénzösszegeket ajánl fel. “Ennek ellenére a fejlesztőknek gazdasági és minőségbiztosítási okokból előbb vagy utóbb mégis csak dönteniük arról, hogy melyik platformra készítenek alkalmazásokat, melyiket részesítik előnyben. A Bada mindenesetre nagy esélyt jelent a fejlesztők számára, hiszen egyrészt a Samsung – 20 százalékos mobil piaci részesedésének köszönhetően – a Nokia mögött a második legnagyobb mobiltelefon-gyártó, másrészt a Bada lehetővé teszi a programozóknak, hogy ne csak az okos-, hanem a hagyományos mobiltelefonokhoz is készíthessenek kiegészítő szoftvereket” – közölte Jeronimo.
A Samsung november közepén jelentette be a Badát, amelyhez komoly reményeket fűz.
