Lemondott az NHH elnöke

A mai napon Pataki Dániel, a Nemzeti Hírközlési Hatóság Tanácsának elnöke lemondott megbízatásáról. Döntését az európai hírközlés-szabályozás megújításának lezárásával, illetve az ezekkel kapcsolatos személyes megbízatásainak sikeres befejezésével indokolta. A lemondást Bajnai Gordon miniszterelnök 2010. január 31-iki hatállyal tudomásul vette.

Pataki Dániel 2002 óta az európai hírközlés-szabályozás hazai bevezetésén, majd 2004-től az NHH elnökeként ennek végrehajtásán dolgozott. Az NHH működése nyomán az elmúlt hat évben a magyar hírközlési piacon jelentősen bővült a szolgáltatáskínálat, miközben jelentősen csökkentek az árak, és a piacszabályozás mellett a hatóság egyre nagyobb hangsúlyt helyezett a közvetlen fogyasztói tájékoztatásra.

A piaci és technológiai változások nyomán időszerűvé vált az európai hírközlés-szabályozás hatásainak értékelése, majd pedig a szabályozás rendszerének megújítása. Ebben a munkában az NHH és személyesen Pataki Dániel jelentős munkát vállalt.

November végén az Európai Parlament nagy többséggel hagyta jóvá az EU új hírközlés-szabályozási keretrendszerét, mely a következő évtizedre meghatározza az európai hírközlés fejlődési irányait.

A közel hároméves európai jogalkotási folyamatban meghatározó szerepet játszottak azok a nemzetközi hírközlésszakmai szervezetek – az Európai Szabályozóhatóságok Csoportja – ERG, illetve a Rádió Spektrum-politikai Csoport – RSPG – melyek az elmúlt két évben magyar elnökséggel, Pataki Dániel vezetésével működtek.

Pataki Dániel a Budapesti Közgazdasági Egyetemen szerzett diplomát. Pályáját Párizsban kezdte, majd 1997-től a Vivendi Telecom Hungary üzletfejlesztési igazgatóságán elemző közgazdászként dolgozott. 1999-től az Andersen Vezetési Tanácsadás Divízió hírközléssel foglalkozó vezetője, 2002-től pedig a Vivendi Telecom Hungary stratégiai igazgatója. 2002 júniusától az Informatikai és Hírközlési Minisztérium hírközlésért felelős helyettes államtitkára, nevéhez fűződik a 2004-től hatályba lépett elektronikus hírközlésről szóló törvény előkészítése. 2004 januárjától a Nemzeti Hírközlési Hatóság elnöke, kinevezését 2008 decemberében a miniszterelnök újabb öt évvel hosszabbította meg.

2008-ban elnöke, 2009-ben pedig alelnöke az európai hírközlési szabályozóhatóságok (ERG/IRG – European Regulators Group/Independent Regulators Group) csoportjának, 2008 novemberétől pedig egy éven át a spektrumpolitikáért felelős európai szakmai testület, az RSPG (Radio Spectrum Policy Group) elnöke is volt.

Szakmai munkásságát 2005-ben a Magyar Köztársasági Érdemrend lovagkeresztje, 2009-ben pedig a Magyar Köztársasági Érdemrend tisztikeresztje polgári tagozat kitüntetéssel ismerték el.
