A social ott kezdődik, amikor azért kezdünk csinálni dolgokat egyre inkább a weben és a mobilon, mert azok közösségiek.
Ezzel egyre kevésbé csinálunk olyan dolgokat, amik nem közösségiek. A social ott kezdődik, amikor úgy ülünk le a géphez, hogy követjük a barátaink nyomait, ott gyülekezünk, ahol a barátaink gyülekeznek, azzal foglalkozunk, amivel a barátaink foglalkoznak és minden eszközünk megvan ahhoz, hogy lássuk, hogy a barátaink éppen hol vannak és mi is megadunk minden adatot ahhoz, hogy a barátaink tudják, hogy éppen merre járunk és mit csinálunk.
Az ember alapvetően, természetéből fakadóan közösségi lény és mint ilyen, sok esetben fontosabb számára a közösségi lét, mint a személyes adatai. Az ember hajlandó rengeteg dolgot megtenni, hogy közösségben lehessen és ez együtt jár a láthatósággal. Amit a közösségi rendszerek megteremtenek, hogy a webes jelenlétünknek kezd tömege, formája és történetisége lenni és ahogy nézem az embereknek ezzel semmi gondja nincs. Ha a szabadság megmarad, a legtöbb esetben nincs gondunk azzal, hogy mások – leginkább a barátok és családtagok látják, hogy mivel játszunk, mit nézünk, stb. -.
