A Pannon, a T-Mobile, a T-Home és a Vodafone közös segélyvonalat indít az 1749-es számon a haiti mentési munkálatok segítésére.
A 1749-es számot hívó vagy az erre a számra a „HAITI” szót szöveges üzenetben küldő ügyfelek 200 forintot adományoznak az ENSZ Gyermekalapja, az UNICEF részére, amit a szervezet többek között a családok súlyos ivóvízproblémájának megoldására használ fel.
Az UNICEF 100 darab vízfertőtlenítő tablettát tud vásárolni a forródrótra befutó minden egyes hívás és SMS díjából, ami hívásonként 400 liter ivóvizet jelent a földrengés gyermekáldozatai számára. Az összegből emellett az UNICEF takarókat, élelmiszert, gyógyszereket is biztosíthat a bajba jutott családoknak.
Az 1749-es szám a három mobilszolgáltató és a T-Home vezetékes hálózatából hívható. Az UNICEF a beérkező adományok teljes összegét megkapja; a távközlési cégek semmilyen külön díjat nem számolnak fel az SMS-ek, illetve hívások után.
