A Pannon leállítja a MobilTV-t
Megszünteti a MobilTV szolgáltatását a Pannon – erősítette meg a cég a Népszabadságnak a lap piaci forrásokból származó értesülését.
A lap pénteki számában azt írta, hogy a 2005-ben elindított, és akkor technológiai innovációnak számító szolgáltatást május 18-án vezetik ki a szolgáltató rendszeréből. A döntés okát firtató kérdésükre a vállalat annyit közölt, hogy a MobilTV igénybevételéből származó bevétel hosszabb ideje nem érte el a fenntartásának költségeit, ezért döntöttek a leállításról.
A lap saját információira hivatkozva közli, hogy az utóbbi időben már csak százas nagyságrendű volt a MobilTV-felhasználók száma, és a szolgáltatást kipróbáló új felhasználók közül alig akadt visszatérő felhasználó. A döntés szerintük mégis érdekes, mert szembemegy a távközlésben nemzetközileg jelenleg elfogadott három képernyős modellel, amely szerint a tartalomszolgáltatók a tévén, a mobilon és a számítógépen juttatják el a felhasználókhoz a különböző médiatartalmakat.
A Pannonnál azonban az az elfogadott vélemény, hogy a tévécsatornákat a hazai piacon nem igénylik a mobilképernyőn keresztül, arra sokkal inkább otthoni, családi tevékenységként tekintenek.
