A Google első embere szerint naponta több mint kétszázezer Android alapú készülék kerül aktiválásra.
Már korábban beszámoltunk arról, hogy az Android platform az elmúlt egy év leforgása alatt körülbelül 866 százalékos pici bővülésen esett át, mely révén az Apple iOS rendszerének térnyerését is sikeresen túlszárnyalta. Piaci elemzők szerint ezen nincs is semmi meglepő, hiszen a Google mögött felsorakoztak a mobiltelefónia nagyjai, a legkülönbözőbb vásárlói rétegek igényeit is sikeresen megcélozva. Eric Schmidt, a Google első embere a Techonomy konferencia alkalmával nemrég arra is rávilágított, hogy augusztusban már naponta több mint 200.000 Android alapú készülék kerül aktiválásra, vagyis mindössze két hónap leforgása alatt megduplázódtak az eladások. A Google számára az ingyenesen fejlesztett platform nem közvetlenül, hanem a kapcsolódó online szolgáltatásokba ágyazott reklámok révén jelent komoly bevételt, mely Schmidt szerint bőségesen fedezik a cég befektetéseit.
